The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin utilizes the CodeRED Emergency Notification System - an ultra high speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications.

USES: This system allows us to send critical communicaitons, to all or targeted areas within gthe reservation in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action. This system is capable of dialing the entire reservation within minutes. It delivers a recorded message describing the situation and any instructions for immediate or future action. The message will play when answered by a live person or an answering machine and makes three attempts to connect to each number. If you opt-in for the text message and/or email alerts, those will also be sent.

CALLER ID: The calling number will display 866-419-5000. To hear the last message delivered, simply dial the number back.

PRIVACY: Your contact information remains private and will only be used for critical communications.

JOIN THE CODE RED DATABASE: If you reside or own property, including a business within the Reservation you are urged to sign up for CodeRED emergency messages.

THIS SYSTEM WILL ONLY BE USED FOR EMERGENCY AND LIFE SAFETY PURPOSES. Examples of times when the CodeRED system could be utilized: Drinking water contamination, extended utility outages, evacuation notice and route, missing person, fires, floods, bomb threat, hostage situation, chemical spill or gas leak, and other incidents where rapid and accurate notification is essential for life safety.

To insure that the call reach residents and utility users, accurate and up-to-date information is essential. IMPORTANT USE YOUR PHYSICAL ADDRESS. DO NOT USE POST OFFICE OR ADDRESS OUTSIDE OF THE MENOMINEE INDIAN RESERVATION.

To add or change a phone number, including cell phones, or opt for the text message amd/or email alerts, please revisit the CodeRED registration page and enter your information. If you have any difficulty in submitting your information, or at any time wish to be removed from the CodeRED database, please call the Menominee County Sheriff's Department at 715-799-3357.
