Gary Schuettpelz - Director

Gary has worked for the Tribe for 26 years in the areas of environmental health and the environment. He has wide experience in many areas including drinking water, sewage disposal, injury prevention, air pollution, epistemology, safety, and sanitation. Gary has a BS in Biology from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. He is a Registered Sanitarian, has completed an Injury Prevention Fellowship sponsored by Indian Health Service, is an emergency medical technician, a certified soil tester, and a private on-site waste treatment systems inspector. He has served on national and bi-national committees and organizations. He is a member of the National Environmental Health Association, and the Wisconsin Environmental Health Association.
