ARPA Tribal Elder Heating Assistance

ARPA TRIBAL ELDER HEATING ASSISTANCE Heating assistance in the amount of $400.00 will be provided to Menominee tribal elders on and off reservation, age 65 and older as of November 1, 2024, per motion made by the Menominee Tribal Legislature. The assistance is being provided through the American Recovery Act funding the Tribe received, therefore it is required that an application be completed. Paper applications are being mailed to all eligible elders. Applications are also available for download on the Tribal website at www.menominee-nsn.gov. Once complete, applications must be returned to The Department of Administration, P.O. Box 910, Keshena, WI 54135 or dropped off at their office located in the Tribal Office Building in Keshena for processing. Checks will be processed as applications are received. In some cases, more than one enrolled elder may live in the same home. In those instances, only one payment per household will be made and the benefit cannot be transferred. Those who currently live in an assisted facility center do not qualify. In February 2025, a list will be published on the MITW website and in the Menominee Nation News of elders that were not reached. Prior to this publication elders may contact Member Services directly at MemberServices@mitw.org or call 715-799-5121 or 715-799-5142 with your updated information. If you have any questions on this process, please contact the Department of Administration at 715-799¬5154.
