WIS 47/55 Menominee Co; Construction & Traffic Updates, Public Information Meeting

Hello Project Stakeholders, This message is intended to keep you updated regarding current construction operations and traffic impacts on the WIS 47/55 road projects. In addition to this update, the prime contractor will be holding an informational meeting to discuss the project schedule and traffic impacts: What: Construction Information Meeting Where: Wolf River Development Company (WRDC) W2828 Go Around Road, Keshena, WI 54135 When: Tuesday, July 14 at 3 pm Week of Monday 7/13 – Friday 7/17: Anticipated Work Locations and Timetables Middle Village to Neopit (Culvert Replacements) See Note Below Monday-Tuesday Neopit to Camp 26 Rd (Culvert Replacements) See Note Below Wednesday-Friday Keshena to Middle Village (Grading) Monday Neopit to Zoar (Grading) Tuesday-Wednesday Middle Village to Neopit (Grading, Restoration) Thursday-Friday Neopit to Wheelock Rd (Curb & Gutter) Tuesday-Wednesday Neopit to Zoar (Pulverizing) Thursday-Friday Traffic Impacts Note: Road may be fully closed during culvert replacements for extended periods due to narrow roadway (Emergency services will be maintained) WIS 47 will be closed to thru traffic from County VV (West) to the Langlade County Line. The closure is anticipated to continue until mid-August Access by local traffic and emergency services will be maintained throughout the closure. The roadway will be reduced to a single lane at most work operations. Since the roadway is closed, flaggers will not be present. Local traffic may experience wait times when encountering work operations along the roadway. Traffic will be traveling on gravel surfaces for portions of the project. Future Operations & Traffic Impacts When the culvert work on WIS 47 is completed, it will be reopened and WIS 55 will be closed to thru traffic from WIS 47 to the Langlade Co Line for about 55 calendar days. The contractor plans to place new asphalt pavement on WIS 47 this fall as well, with the remaining asphalt paving for the project finishing in 2027. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane with a flagging operation during paving.
