Notice of Write-In Candidacy for 2025 January Main Legislature Election Write-In Candidacy Begins at 8am on Monday November 18, 2024 Ends at 4pm on Friday January 10, 2025 Menominee tribal members seeking to become a Write-In Candidate for the Menominee Tribal Legislature must provide the Menominee Tribal Election Commission with a signed written notice of his or her intention to run as a Write-In Candidate. Notices may be brought to Menominee Tribal Election Commission offices, at the Wilmer J. Peters Jr. Court House, room 136. To be eligible as a candidate, you must be enrolled in the Menominee Indian Tribe and you must be at least twenty-five years of age as of the date on which the election is held. No member shall be eligible to be a write-in candidate for the Menominee Tribal Legislature who has been convicted of a major crime as defined in Bylaw V of the Constitution and Bylaws, unless the Tribal Judiciary, in accordance with such rules as it may establish, certifies that tribal member in question is rehabilitated. Such certificate of rehabilitation shall be based upon that tribal member’s record of behavior since the conviction.
