Please see the attached NWS Green Bay briefing packet regarding winter storm potential Wednesday night through Thursday.
This update pertains to the NWS Green Bay service area of north-central and northeast Wisconsin.
Bottom Line Up Front
· Confidence continues to increase for a significant winter storm to bring accumulating snow and ice from Wednesday evening through Thursday night.
· Icing potential is becoming a major concern for parts of central and far northeast Wisconsin, while north-central areas may see impacts from a mix of ice and snow loads.
· 1-3 inches of precipitation (in the form of rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain) over the next 7 days will increase the potential for area rivers and streams to rise toward bankfull or minor flood stages through next week.
