WIS 47/55 Menominee Co; Construction & Traffic Updates, Public Information Meeting

Please note revised meeting location tomorrow, due to voting at the Highway Department: Hello Project Stakeholders, This message is intended to keep you updated regarding current construction operations and traffic impacts on the WIS 47/55 road projects. In addition to this update, the prime contractor will be holding an informational meeting to discuss the current project schedule and traffic impacts: What: Construction Information Meeting Where: Wolf River Development Company (WRDC), W2828 Go Around Road, Keshena When: Tuesday, November 3rd at 3:00 pm Week of Monday 11/2 – Saturday 11/7: Anticipated Work Locations and Timetables WIS 47 * Keshena to Middle Village (Paving, Shouldering) * Roadway reduced to single lane by flagging * Monday-Saturday WIS 55 * WIS 47 to Langlade County Line (Signing, Traffic Control) * Roadway reduced to single lane * Monday-Friday Week of Monday 11/9 – Friday 11/13: Anticipated Work Locations and Timetables WIS 47 * Keshena to Middle Village (Shouldering, Rumble Strips, Pavement Marking) * Roadway reduced to single lane by flagging * Monday-Friday Traffic Impacts WIS 55: * WIS 55 will be closed to thru traffic from WIS 47 to the Langlade County Line. The closure is anticipated to continue until early November. * Access by local traffic and emergency services will be maintained throughout the closures. * Local traffic may experience wait times when encountering work operations along the roadways. * The roadways will be reduced to a single lane at most work operations. Since the roadway is closed, flaggers will not be present. WIS 47: * WIS 47 will be reduced to a single lane with flaggers for milling and asphalt paving operations, through mid-November. * The contractor will place new asphalt pavement on WIS 47 from Keshena to Middle Village this fall, with the remaining asphalt paving for the project (including WIS 55) finishing in 2027.
